A court has sentenced a Kerch resident to 16 years and 6 months in prison in a penal colony for transmitting data to Ukraine about the location of the air defense forces. This was announced on July 17 by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Crimea.
It is clarified that the man in the social network contacted a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of Ukraine and announced his readiness to commit illegal actions in the Russian Federation, since he is an opponent of a special military operation (SVO). According to the press service of the department, on the instructions of the curators, the defendant sent photos of the locations of air defense systems. For this, he received a reward of 5,000 rubles.
"The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced a resident of the region to 16 years and 6 months in prison to be served in a high—security penal colony with further restriction of freedom for 1 year and 6 months and a fine," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
On July 8, a 37-year-old resident of Sevastopol was sentenced to 17 years in prison in a high-security penal colony for transmitting data about Russian military facilities. It was clarified that the attacker was collecting data on the location of air surveillance posts, air defense forces, and units of the Black Sea Fleet. The information was transmitted by the defendant for further attacks by the Ukrainian side on targets.
