A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces liberated the village of Degtyarnoye in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the actions of the servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 160 militants, an armored vehicle, eight vehicles and five artillery pieces.

In addition, the Center group of forces liberated Popov Yar in the DPR and eliminated more than 420 Ukrainian military personnel, three armored combat vehicles, five vehicles, four artillery pieces and an Israeli-made RADA radar station.

"Units of the Zapad group of forces improved their position along the front line, defeated formations of two mechanized brigades, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Koroviy Yar, Karpovka, Volchiy Yar, Novoselovka of the Donetsk People's Republic and Druzhladovka of the Kharkiv region," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated the workshops of a Ukrainian enterprise manufacturing shock FPV drones, UAV storage and control sites, air defense shelters, airfield facilities, as well as temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 133 districts. Air defense systems, in turn, shot down four guided aerial bombs and 178 aircraft-type UAVs.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 664 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 70,079 drones, 619 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,240 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,577 multiple rocket launchers, 27,480 field artillery and mortars, and 38,290 special vehicles.
