In Kislovodsk, swimming on the Old Lake was temporarily restricted due to information about mass poisoning. Data on all cases are being checked, the mayor of the city, Evgeny Moiseev, said on his social networks on Thursday, July 17.

"There are indeed calls to the hospital. The condition of those admitted is mild or moderate. Among those who applied, there are those who visited the lake, who did not visit it, who just returned from other regions," he wrote.

As the mayor explained, there is no proven link between diseases and bathing in the reservoir, but as a preventive measure, bathing was decided to be limited.

Currently, all patients admitted to the infectious diseases department in the last 24 hours have been tested for intestinal pathogens. An investigation is conducted in each case, writes the StavropolMedia news agency.

Earlier in June, it was reported that landscaping of a two-kilometer resort area had been completed in the center of Kislovodsk. The transformations affected Dzerzhinsky, Rossiyskaya and Shirokaya streets.
