Rosgvardiya special forces discovered caches of ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the forest belt of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on July 17 by the Rosgvardiya press service.

"The caches were discovered by a sapper and a dog handler with a service dog. After making sure that there were no traps, the sapper removed the contents of the caches to the surface in compliance with all security measures," the ministry said in a statement.

They added that the Ukrainian militants hid grenades, smoke bombs, mines with removed fuses, as well as a barrel for a Kalashnikov machine gun and more than 700 rounds of ammunition.

On June 4, Russian guards discovered a cache of foreign-made ammunition in the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR). It was noted that more than 50 large-caliber cartridges, as well as hand grenades, including American M67s, were found.
