FAS revealed a cartel in the purchase of railway equipment worth more than 686 million rubles

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has identified a cartel in the purchase of railway equipment worth more than 686 million rubles. This was announced on July 17 by the press service of the department.

"The result of its implementation was the maintenance of prices at auction. The service has opened a case on violation of antimonopoly legislation against TMZ named after V.V. Vorovsky, Medgar Finance LLC and Travel Machines LLC," the FAS explained.

The organizations entered into an anti-competitive agreement in order to maintain prices in the procurement procedures.

Auctions were held for the supply to 11 regions of vehicles intended for maintenance and repair of railway or tram tracks, machines for loading and transporting track links, materials and transportation of people and equipment.

The total amount of the initial maximum contract price was 686,695,874 rubles.

If found guilty, cartel members face administrative fines in accordance with the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation: Clause 2, Part 1, Article 11 of Federal Law No. 135-FZ dated July 26, 2006 "On Protection of Competition", Part 2, Article 14.32 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.

On June 3, the FAS revealed a cartel in the supply of medical products worth more than 620 million rubles. The violators were fined in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation.
