The president of the transitional period of Syria declared the readiness of Damascus to fight

The president of the Syrian transitional period, Ahmed al-Sharaa, said because of the Israeli attack that the state is not afraid of war and is ready to fight. He announced this on July 17.

According to him, the protection of the Druze and their rights is a priority, as Israel has promised to destroy the Syrian government forces. It is specified that the Druze are being attacked in the south of Syria.

"We are not those who are afraid of war. We have dedicated our lives to overcoming difficulties and protecting our people, but we have put the interests of Syrians above chaos and destruction," the Reuters news agency quoted the president of the Syrian transitional period as saying.

Al-Sharaa also noted that if the citizens of the state are threatened, then they are ready to fight.
