Analysts noted the demand for housing in Moscow due to the summer cold snap
According to the results of the first half of 2025, the Moscow housing market showed a noticeable decrease in activity. The number of transactions in the housing market under construction decreased by 16% in annual terms over the past six months, and in the ready—made housing market by 3%, experts from the real estate and consulting company Metrium found out after analyzing the latest data from the capital's Federal Register. Izvestia reviewed the study on July 17.
It is noted that June consolidated the negative trend — the number of registrations of equity participation agreements (DDU) turned out to be 48% lower than in the same month last year. Nevertheless, relative to May 2025 (5.0 thousand DDU), there was a slight increase of 8%, analysts emphasize.
