China expresses willingness to cooperate with the SCO for peace in the Middle East

The People's Republic of China (PRC) has announced its readiness to cooperate with the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to resolve the situation in the Middle East as soon as possible. This was announced on July 17 in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.

"China is ready to cooperate with the SCO members and the international community to defend peace, promote a political settlement and restore peace and stability in the Middle East as soon as possible," the ministry stressed in an interview with RIA Novosti.

In addition, the Ministry noted that resolving the ongoing escalation in the region meets the common interests of the countries of the region and the entire international community, and also stressed that the current situation in this area is still difficult and sensitive.

On July 15, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced close contacts between China and Russia in a difficult international situation to ensure timely response to the challenges faced by instability and change.
