A child who survived an accident in the Novosibirsk region was taken to the hospital.

A child who survived an accident with seven dead in the Novosibirsk region was taken to a medical facility. This was announced on July 17 by the Minister of Health of the region, Rostislav Zabolotsky.

"Last night, a child who was injured in an accident on the Novosibirsk–Pavlodar highway was transported by helicopter from Krasnozersky to Novosibirsk. The evacuation took place as normal," TASS quoted Zabolotsky as saying.

According to him, at the moment the child is under the supervision of specialists. The minister also noted that the child was in a special child restraint during the accident.

The accident occurred earlier in the day on the 290th km of the federal highway K17 in the Novosibirsk region. As a result of the incident, seven people died and another was injured.

Later, the press service of the regional Ministry of Health reported that the child who was injured in the accident would be taken by helicopter to Novosibirsk. It was noted that his condition was assessed as moderate. The regional Investigative Committee noted that a criminal case had been opened into the incident.
