The Federation Council confirmed its readiness to work on normalization with the United States

Relations between the Russian Federation and the United States are in the process of normalization, and Moscow is determined to work to restore full-fledged operation of embassies. This was reported to Izvestia by Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.

"We are currently in the process of normalization. We are ready to discuss issues related to our diplomatic missions so that they resume normal work. This process is underway, but unfortunately not as fast as we would like. We consider Russian-American relations as a very promising and possible area of activity for us. We are ready for negotiations, we are in favor of discussing the tasks that have already been set and doing this methodically for a long time," he said.

Karasin also noted that at this stage there are no prerequisites for relations between the two countries to return to the level they were under Joe Biden.
