Seven people were injured in a collision between two cars in the Ust-Dzhegutinsky district of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. This was announced on July 16 by the press service of the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

Previously, a Hyundai Solaris car driven by a 42-year-old woman and a Great Wall driven by a 71-year-old man collided at about 14:48 on the 8th km of the Ust–Dzheguta-Terese highway.

"The driver of the Great Wall car, his 59-year—old passenger, the driver of the Hyundai Solaris car and four passengers, including minors born in 2008, 2016 and 2023, were taken to the medical facility," the department's Telegram channel says.

There was also a child born in 2023 in the Hyundai cabin, who escaped serious injury thanks to a child safety seat. Police officers are conducting a check.

Earlier that day, a six-year-old girl was killed in a collision between a car and a truck in the Pavlovsky district of the Krasnodar Territory. It was clarified that the 60-year-old grandfather of the child, who was driving a car, was not injured in the accident, but died of a heart attack later.
