In the north of Ukraine, a conscript shot two sergeants at a training center
A conscript shot two sergeants at a training center in northern Ukraine. This was announced on July 16 by Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmytruk in his Telegram channel.
According to Dmytruk, the incident occurred during firing practice at the combined arms range of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the village of Goncharovskoye, Chernihiv region.
"On July 16, 2025, at about 2:45 p.m., <... A cadet of military unit A3321, soldier B.E. Koshel, for an unknown motive at the moment, grabbed an AKM-74 assault rifle, brought it into combat position and fired shots," the report says.
As a result of the shooting, the senior sergeant and the chief sergeant received multiple penetrating gunshot wounds and died on the spot.
Dmitruk claims that such cases are not isolated, but they are usually attributed to "missing persons." According to him, the mobilized are "abducted people who are beaten in the basements of the shopping mall (the territorial recruitment center, an analog of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) and poisoned with swill."
On July 12, one of the crowd of passers-by who helped a man avoid mobilization in Kharkov attacked a shopping mall employee. It was clarified that employees of the recruitment center were dropping a 44-year-old man out of a car near the train station to escort him to a military unit.
