The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) of Ukraine has opened a criminal case against Olga Stefanyshina, who was dismissed on July 16 from the post of Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration. This was announced on July 16 by Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko (listed by Rosfinmonitoring as a terrorist and extremist).

"SAP has opened criminal proceedings against former Deputy Prime Minister Stefanyshina. She is suspected of abuse of power or official position, which entailed grave consequences (Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," Goncharenko wrote on his Telegram channel.

He noted that the criminal proceedings were opened on June 11 of this year. Goncharenko also attached a photo of the relevant document received from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal. The country's legislation stipulates that the entire government resigns along with the Ukrainian prime minister.
