Bahrain has announced no plans to transfer missiles for Patriot to Ukraine.
Bahrain does not intend to transfer Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) missiles to Ukraine. This was announced on July 16 by Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during a meeting with US President Donald Trump.
"We have no such plans, as we have an operational need to store them (missiles. — Ed.) there, in Bahrain. President [Trump] has plenty of them too," the Prime Minister said, answering a question about possible supplies.
The American leader, in turn, stressed that the kingdom has many missiles for the Patriot air defense system.
On the same day, the American leader announced the start of sending missiles for Patriot to Ukraine from Germany. He noted that the United States will receive a full refund in any case. In addition, according to him, payments will be made either through NATO or directly from EU member states.
