- The Russian Olympic Committee and the MAER media holding have signed a cooperation agreement
The MAER media holding has become a new partner of the Russian Olympic Committee. The cooperation agreement was signed by Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports and President of the Russian Olympic Committee, and Konstantin Mayor, owner and CEO of the MAER media holding. The MAYOR has committed himself to promoting Olympic values and a healthy lifestyle in Russian society.
"The Russian Olympic Committee wants our athletes, Olympians, and champions to become more popular and become guiding stars for the younger generation. To do this, their voices, biographies, and records must be heard from everywhere — from every media facade. In the context of the total struggle for attention, partnership with major media players is of great importance to us," said Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports of Russia and head of the Russian Olympic Committee.
Nevertheless, the ROC president stressed that the Olympic Committee is very picky on this issue.
"The ROC recently terminated all previous partnership programs, and now we are opening a new page, a new era of partnership. And here we are very picky. We start with information cooperation with the MAER media holding, which is headed by Konstantin Mayor. We have known each other for many years, and I can see how effective his business is," Mikhail Degtyarev said during the signing ceremony.
The media holding noted that they had been working towards signing an agreement with the ROC for more than five years, broadcasting video projects in support of the Olympians on the streets of Russian cities. They were dedicated to both their achievements and Olympic values.
"I believe that no matter how difficult and politicized the times may be, Russia will withstand the blow and remain a sporting world power. And the MAER media holding, with a huge audience of 57 million people, uses all its capabilities to unite the country around its champions, heroes, and values that make us strong and united! And first of all, I would like to say words of great gratitude to the Minister of Sports of Russia, President of the Olympic Committee Mikhail Vladimirovich Degtyarev. Thank you so much for your sensitivity, for your patience, and for the perseverance with which you started your work," said Konstantin Mayor, owner and CEO of the MAER media holding.
Konstantin Mayor added that this year the media holding has expanded its capabilities, having the opportunity to talk to the audience inside cafes and restaurants, at logistics points. A network of 26 federal and regional online media outlets, 200 channels and social media publications joined the holding.
"Today, the MAER includes 350 cities in 85 regions. And the media holding intends to use all this to promote Russian sports and the agenda of the Russian Olympic Committee," Konstantin Mayor said.
