Since the beginning of 2025, employers in St. Petersburg have submitted more than 6.5 thousand vacancies for citizens with disabilities to the Work of Russia portal. This is 33% more than in the same period of 2024. This is reported by the Smolny press service.
Over the past six months, 10 job fairs have been organized in St. Petersburg, and more than 80 employers have offered their working conditions. Thanks to the quota, about 18 thousand people with disabilities are employed in the city. The requirements for job creation for this category of applicants are fulfilled by more than 3 thousand companies.
78 TV channel notes that since October 2024, a law has been in force in the Northern Capital, according to which companies with 35 or more employees are required to create jobs for people with disabilities.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the creation of at least 10 prosthetic rehabilitation centers for the disabled in the country's federal districts by 2027, including for participants in a special military operation. The corresponding instruction was published on the Kremlin's official website on July 11.
It is specified that Putin delegated this assignment to the FMBA (Federal Medical and Biological Agency). Russia, the state Fund for support of participants in the special military operation Defenders of the Fatherland, as well as the Rostec State Corporation with the participation of the Russian Paralympic Committee.
