In the Pskov region, on the border with Belarus, the illegal import of 30 kg of honey was prevented. During the inspection of the batch of honey that arrived in the village of Dolostsy, the inspectors of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration did not find veterinary and accompanying documents that would confirm the safety and origin of the products.

According to the Pskov news feed, the movement of honey shipments through the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union is prohibited. The shipment was returned to the territory of Belarus, having issued an act on the return of the cargo.

Earlier, on June 16, it was reported that the transit of 20 tons of finished dairy products from Lithuania to Uzbekistan was banned in the Pskov region. A cargo of cheese, butter, and cheese products was detained at the Burachki checkpoint in the Sebezhsky district in connection with the foot-and-mouth disease situation.

Since January 20, the certification of all animals susceptible to foot-and-mouth disease and products obtained from them, transported from the EU to Russia, has been suspended. In particular, the transit of such goods to third countries is prohibited.
