In the village of Znamenskoye, Kashira, Moscow region, the repair of a dam across the Sukhaya Lyubinka River is nearing completion. The progress of the work was checked by the acting head of the city district Roman Pichugin.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, with reference to the press service of the district administration, Pichugin came to the village at the request of local residents. He held a meeting with the contractor that was involved in the overhaul of the dam in 2023.

Despite the penalties, some of the shortcomings have still not been fixed. Special attention should be paid to restoring the connection of the discharge pipes to the discharge chamber, Pichugin said.

In the spring of 2024, the hydraulic structure was washed away. Due to its unsatisfactory condition, a state of emergency was declared in the village. A bypass was made in the village, and restoration work began on the dam.

Earlier it was reported that the repair of the bridge over the Klyazma River is taking place in Khimki near Moscow. The main structure has already been completely dismantled. The bridge is located near the residential complex "City of Embankments" and connects the quarters of Klyazma and Svistukha. For the comfortable movement of residents during the work, a temporary aboveground crossing was erected nearby.
