A "strange substance" was spotted on the Voronezh River near Lipetsk

Residents of the Lipetsk region complain about a "strange substance" that they noticed on the surface of the Voronezh River near the village of Zarechye. They sent their appeals to the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology.
They note that a similar phenomenon is observed near the city's aeration station.

The ministry said that environmentalists, together with the laboratory, conducted a survey of the water area and took water samples. The results of water analysis for pollutants and dissolved oxygen will be known after special studies. At first glance, we are talking about bottom sediments. A legal assessment of the situation will be given based on the results of the audit.

According to GOROD48, residents of Lipchan have already told us that "something" is floating along the river near the river District. Later, the substance was noticed in neighboring Voronezh. Studies have shown that these are bottom sediments.

At the end of May, it was reported that Rospotrebnadzor conducted a study of Lipetsk beaches before the start of the bathing season. The water on three beaches was declared unsafe for swimming. The experts examined water and sand samples for sanitary, chemical, microbiological, parasitological and virological parameters. Nine samples of water from the Voronezh River did not meet the standards for microbiological indicators. Only the central city beach received a positive conclusion from Rospotrebnadzor.
