Hongqi unveils upgraded HS3 hybrid crossover
Hongqi has introduced an upgraded HS3 crossover with a hybrid powertrain to the Chinese market. The new version is called Jinwei Plus, according to the manufacturer's message, which was received by Izvestia on July 16.
The hybrid system consists of a 150-horsepower gasoline turbo engine, an electric motor with a capacity of 228 hp (565 Nm) and a traction battery with a capacity of 18.4 kWh. Relative to the previous version of the HS3 PHEV, the power of the gasoline unit was reduced, and the electric unit was increased.

As a result, the acceleration time to "hundreds" was reduced from 8.9 to 7.6 seconds, the maximum speed increased from 180 to 190 km/ h. At the same time, the range on pure electricity increased to 117 km (according to the Chinese CLTC cycle), and the total range exceeded 1400 km (according to the European WLTC).
Fuel consumption is 4.6 liters per 100 km, 0.2 liters less than that of a conventional HS3 hybrid. Fast charging time has been reduced from 30 to 80% to 19 minutes. The 3.3 kW external discharge function allows you to connect household devices to the car, such as a coffee maker, laptop, or lighting equipment.

The Russian representative office of Hongqi clarified that deliveries of the Jinwei Plus version to Russia are not planned yet. Currently in the Russian Federation, the crossover is presented with a 1.5-liter turbo engine (156 hp; 252 Nm) with a seven-speed "robot" and front-wheel drive, as well as a two-liter turbocharged unit (245 hp; 380 Nm) and an eight-band automatic with all-wheel drive.
Earlier, on July 9, it was reported that the Chinese Hongqi Guoli sedan from the Golden Sunflower luxury series was purchased by a private client, the deal was finalized at the Shanghai Auto Show and became the most expensive export of a Chinese car in history.
