"We (the United States - Ed.) unequivocally condemn violence against civilians in Suwayda. Point. All sides must step back and engage in a constructive dialogue that will lead to a lasting ceasefire," Barrack wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
The Ambassador also stressed that the perpetrators must be brought to justice.
On the same day, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that Israel would continue strikes against Syria to destroy the forces attacking the Druze "until their complete withdrawal."
