Another child was returned to Russia from the territory of Ukraine

A 13-year-old boy was returned to Russia from the territory of Ukraine through the mediation of Qatar. This was announced on July 16 by Maria Lvova-Belova, the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights, in her Telegram channel.

It is noted that the boy lived with his grandmother in Ukraine since 2016, but the family and the boy himself expressed a desire to reunite in Russia.

"In total, with our assistance, 25 children from 17 families were reunited with relatives in Russia, and 101 children from 81 families were reunited with relatives in Ukraine and in third countries," Lvova—Belova added.

On May 19, Lvova-Belova helped a girl from Ukraine to reunite with her mother in Russia. It was noted that the girl and her older sister lived in Ukraine, and her mother went to Russia for personal reasons. In 2023, the father and his daughters moved to Odessa, and in 2024 he died. After that, the 17-year-old girl wanted to reunite with her mother.
