The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is preparing to deploy two divisions to the Golan Heights and expects several days of fighting. This was reported on July 16 by the Galey IDF radio station.
The Syria TV channel, in turn, reported an Israeli air strike near the presidential palace in Damascus.
Earlier in the day, Al Kazeera TV channel reported on new Israeli strikes on Damascus. It was clarified that the headquarters of the Syrian Armed Forces (AF) was attacked. According to the TV channel, at least three or four strikes were recorded, and smoke was seen over the Syrian Ministry of Defense.
