Hunter Biden blamed Democrats for his father's election defeat

Hunter, the son of former US President Joe Biden, said that the Democrats lost the November elections to US President Donald Trump because they were not loyal to his father. He expressed this opinion in a podcast by former chairman of the Democratic National Committee Jamie Harrison.

"And I'll tell you why we lost the last election. We lost the election because we did not remain loyal to the party leader. That's my position," Hunter said. His words are quoted by The Hill newspaper.

Biden also said that the Democratic Party "literally melted away," despite the incredibly successful administration and the influence of the current president at that time.

Earlier, on May 28, 2025, Vladimir Mozhegov, an American political scientist, spoke about the causes of the crisis of the US Democratic Party. In his opinion, the party is in complete disarray, and the nomination of Biden as a presidential candidate was the most unfortunate choice, which at the same time "suited everyone."
