The drivers' attention was drawn to the strict observance of the rules for the safe transportation of children.
"We remind parents of underage road users of the need to be more attentive to children, trying to ensure maximum safety for them in the summer. Do not let them go outside alone, unattended, especially in the evening. The lack or negligence of parental control over the behavior and leisure of school-age children during the holidays often leads to injuries or deaths of young road users. Be sure to use retroreflective elements on their clothes to improve the visibility of young pedestrians and cyclists to drivers on a dark road," said Police Colonel Sergey Hrantskevich, head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of child traffic injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that in the first half of 2025, the number of accidents involving taxi cars in Moscow decreased by 5.5%, and the number of deaths and injuries in such accidents decreased by 35% and 3.2%, respectively.
