The Israeli Druze are massively trying to break through the border with Syria to help their co-religionists. This was announced on July 16 by the Ynet portal.

"The Druze are moving massively to the Golan Heights.<....> At these hours, a shocking and brutal massacre is taking place on the Druze mountain in southern Syria, where innocent civilians — women, children and the elderly — are being killed in cold blood," the material says, citing a statement by the Druze leader in Israel, Mwafaq Tarif.

It clarifies that members of the community are also asked to prepare "by all necessary means to cross the border to help their brothers."

The press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the infiltration into Syrian territory. It is noted that Israeli troops are currently conducting an operation to safely return civilians who have crossed the border.

Later, the IDF Telegram channel announced the dispatch of reinforcements to the border with Syria.

The day before, the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced its readiness to take all necessary measures to protect the Druze from attacks by the Syrian army.
