The hit-and-run occurred on Oleg Koshevoy Street, in the area of house No. 283a, next to which, judging by the photos from the scene, there is an above-ground pedestrian crossing. According to preliminary data, the Subaru Impreza driver ran over two children who decided to run across the road in an unexpected place.

As a result of the accident, an eight-year-old boy and a girl were injured. According to the PrimaMedia news agency, they were hospitalized in the children's trauma department.

A criminal case has been opened into the accident under Part 1 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules that negligently caused serious harm to human health."
