Social facilities have been connected to gas networks in four more regions of the Russian Federation.

As part of a large-scale social gasification program, on Wednesday, July 16, social facilities such as schools, kindergartens, and sports complexes were connected to the networks in four more regions. The Kostroma, Tambov, Rostov regions, as well as the Perm Territory, have entered into direct communication with Moscow.

Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko stressed the strategic importance of the project and noted that the quality of life in the regions would be much higher thanks to the efforts of energy companies.

"Access to modern energy infrastructure and modern energy sources is expanding for citizens across the country, including through social gasification, which was initiated by our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, who is monitoring the implementation of this program," she said.

Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev, in turn, added that the social gasification program lasted four years and will be fully implemented in the future. According to him, gas is expected to appear in more than 1 million housing developments, and it is planned to spend about 1 trillion rubles on this.

Putin supported the idea of developing a FEZ in the Tambov region

At a meeting with the president, Acting Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov also said that the local authorities had managed to almost completely complete the gasification of the region.

On February 23, Sergei Gavrilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Property Issues, recalled the many benefits for pensioners, including free gas supply to the site. He stressed that participation in the social gasification program would only require the ownership of a registered apartment building.
