Trishkin resigned after allowing the VKKS to initiate a case against him.
Albert Trishkin, judge of the 2nd Western District Military Court, has resigned. This was announced to Izvestia on Wednesday, July 16, by Irina Zhirnova, the court's press secretary.
Trishkin made this decision after the Higher Qualification Board of Judges (HCCC) of Russia agreed on the same day that a criminal case on causing moderate harm to health should be opened against him.
According to the materials of the pre-investigation check, in August 2024, Trishkin had a traffic conflict with a taxi driver, during which he shot the driver in the leg.
According to the judge, he found the gun two days before the incident, did not examine it and put it in the car. Only after the conflict did I find four cartridges in it. Trishkin stated that there was also violence on the part of the taxi driver. The judge apologized to the victim and tried to negotiate moral compensation, but, according to him, he named different amounts each time, starting from 600 thousand rubles and ending with 6 million rubles.
On July 7, Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, asked to open a case of moderate bodily harm against Trishkin.
Trishkin was appointed a judge in 2016. He specialized in criminal cases.
