UK opened a case after an accident with seven dead near Novosibirsk

Investigators have opened a criminal case into an accident in the Novosibirsk region in which seven people were killed. This was announced on July 16 by the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee for the region.

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules that negligently caused the death of two or more persons")," the department's Telegram channel says.

They noted that all the circumstances and causes of the incident are currently being established. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the audit.

The accident occurred earlier in the day on the 290th km of the federal highway K17 in the Novosibirsk region. As a result of the incident, seven people died and another was injured.

Later, the press service of the regional Ministry of Health reported that the child who was injured in the accident would be taken by helicopter to Novosibirsk. It was noted that his condition was assessed as moderate.
