After the Beyonce singer's concert, a stampede occurred at a subway station in the Vine City area of the US state of Atlanta, as a result of which nine people were injured. This was reported on July 15 by the Atlanta News First TV channel, citing data from the city's metro.

"According to the Atlanta Metro, one of the passengers started screaming and running, which caused a stampede on the escalator. The escalator picked up speed and suddenly stopped," the publication says.

An eyewitness to the incident reported that people panicked and started running. At the moment when the escalator stopped, several people fell. She added that she also couldn't resist and found herself in a group of about 20 people who were lying on top of each other.

It is specified that eight people were taken to medical institutions with various injuries. One of the victims refused to be hospitalized.

The Times of India newspaper reported on June 29 about a mass stampede in the city of Puri at the largest Hindu festival Jagannath Rath Yatra. As a result of the incident, three people were killed and more than 50 were injured.
