Three people died in a fire in the village of Ivanovka, Saratov region. This was reported on July 16 in the regional press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"It was previously established that on July 16, 2025, a 42-year-old woman, her 7—year-old son and one-year-old daughter died as a result of a fire that occurred in a private house on Vodnaya Street in the village of Ivanovka, Balakovo district," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

It is specified that a 43-year-old man was also injured in the fire, he was hospitalized with burns for medical treatment. Investigative actions are currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy. A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two or more persons").
