The expert warned Russians about problems with remote work
People working online may encounter various problems. Harry Muradian, HR expert and head of the AMALCO International Recruitment and Development Agency, told about this on July 16.
"One of the disadvantages of online employment is the uneven working conditions. The lack of standardization and control can lead to unjustified workload or, conversely, low employment," the expert said in a conversation with the Prime agency.
He also noted that most of these vacancies are associated with informal employment or freelancing, which reduces social guarantees and protection of workers' rights. During work, employees may experience problems with internet connectivity, software incompatibilities, and a lack of digital tool skills.
Online platforms can also be vulnerable to identity leaks and cyber attacks. There are also a number of psychological risks. For example, isolation, lack of live communication and control, all of which can reduce motivation and productivity. Remote employees may also have difficulty getting into the corporate culture and communicating with the team, the specialist said.
"Online employment carries risks not only for the employee, but also for the employer. Remotely, it is more difficult to assess the candidate's real skills, which can lead to erroneous hiring," Muradyan summed up.
Evgenia Gankina, Director of the Roskachestvo Organizational Development Department, said on July 15 that a full-fledged return to work processes after burnout should be approached gradually. She advised that at first, try to negotiate a flexible working day or redistribute tasks between colleagues.
