In the Russian Federation, a fine of up to 50 thousand rubles may be imposed for transferring a number to another person.

The State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation is considering the possibility of imposing a fine of up to 50,000 rubles for transferring a dedicated subscriber number to an outside party. This follows from the table of amendments published on July 15 on the website of the Duma database.

"Illegal transfer by a subscriber <...> a subscriber number allocated to him on the basis of a service agreement <...> to another person entails the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles," the document says.
