The European Union (EU) has imposed sanctions on nine Russian individuals and six organizations for allegedly "destabilizing activities." This was confirmed on July 15 by a document posted on the website of the official journal of the organization.

"The [EU] Council considers that nine individuals and six legal entities, organizations and bodies should be added to the list <...> specified in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2024/2642. Therefore, appropriate amendments should be made to Regulation (EU) 2024/2642," the text of the document says.

The annex to the published resolution clarifies that the FSUE Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network (RTRS), the BRICS Journalists Association, the Center for Geopolitical Expertise, the Foundation for Combating Repression, and the TigerWeb web studio have also been sanctioned.

On the same day, the European Union imposed sanctions against the Moldovan opposition bloc Pobeda. It was clarified that the A7 company, which, according to the EU, allegedly has ties with Moscow, and the Cultural and Educational Center of Moldova were also included in the list.
