The Houthis reported drone strikes on an IDF military facility and Eilat.
The Yemeni Houthis of the Ansar Allah movement carried out an attack using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on a military facility of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israeli port of Eilat. This was announced on July 15 by the Houthi representative Yahya Saria.
"Two drones struck an important military facility in the Negev region, while the third drone targeted the port of Umm al-Rashrash (Arabic for Eilat. — Ed.)," Al Masirah TV channel quoted him as saying.
According to him, the objectives of the operation were successfully achieved. Saria stressed that operations will continue until the Israeli aggression in Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted.
Earlier, on July 9, the representative of Ansar Allah, Yahya Saria, said that the movement claimed responsibility for the attack on Eternity C. He clarified that the strike was carried out using an unmanned boat and six cruise and ballistic missiles. According to him, the ship was attacked in connection with ignoring the ban on activities in Eilat.
On board, among the crew members was a Russian citizen who was injured in the attack. The cargo ship sank after the impact. It was later reported that the Houthis abducted several surviving crew members.
