A cradle with workers collapsed from a height in the Lipetsk region
A cradle with two workers fell from a ten-meter height in the village of Terbuny, Lipetsk region. This was announced on Tuesday, July 15, by the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
According to law enforcement officials, the tragedy occurred on July 9 during welding and installation work. The cradle with the men was fixed on the boom of a car crane manipulator, writes GOROD48.
A 42-year-old resident of Lipetsk, who was on the work platform, died on the spot, and his 20-year-old partner suffered multiple fractures and damage to internal organs. The victim was hospitalized.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of violation of safety rules during construction work, which negligently resulted in the death of the victim (Part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Witnesses and eyewitnesses are being questioned, persons responsible for the workflow are being identified, forensic examinations have been appointed, and the necessary documentation has been requested.
