A criminal case has been opened on causing death by negligence (Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and a forensic examination has been ordered.

On July 12, a 34-year-old woman died as a result of a houseboat capsizing on the Volga. The Ministry of Emergency Situations said that there were six people on the converted tugboat. Five of them were saved.
