Trump warns Ukraine against attacks on Moscow
American leader Donald Trump said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky should not talk about attacks on Moscow. On Tuesday, July 15, the American president told reporters before leaving the White House.
"He (Zelensky. We should not target Moscow," Trump said.
He also clarified that he does not support either side of the Ukrainian conflict.
On the same day, the Financial Times newspaper wrote that Trump called on Ukraine to step up deep strikes on Russian territory, asking Zelensky if he would be able to strike Moscow if the United States provided long-range weapons. However, later, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said that Trump simply asked the Ukrainian leader a question, and did not encourage strikes on the Russian capital.
