- The Czech Republic refused to join the purchase of weapons for Ukraine from the United States
The Czech Republic will not join the purchase of US weapons by NATO countries to transfer them to Kiev. This was announced on July 15 by the country's Prime Minister, Petr Fiala.
"The Czech Republic is focused on other projects and ways to help Ukraine, for example, through the ammunition supply initiative. Therefore, at the moment we are not considering joining this project," Fiala said, quoted by Publico.
According to the publication, Germany will be the main driver of this project.
On July 14, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States and the European Union (EU) had reached an agreement on the supply of weapons to Ukraine. According to him, the weapons will be produced by the United States, but they will be paid for by European countries.
The next day, on July 15, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes committed by the Kiev regime, said that the United States wanted to shift Europe's arms financial flows to itself. According to him, the US administration continues to follow its position and control the Kiev regime.
