- Shor called the sanctions against the opposition in Moldova the arbitrariness of the EU
Democracy in the European Union (EU) has been replaced by arbitrariness on the part of the union's leadership. This was announced on July 15 by Ilan Shor, leader of the Moldovan opposition bloc Pobeda, commenting on the EU sanctions imposed against the political force.
"European-style democracy is the arbitrariness of those who were elected in Brussels. They have reserved all their rights, and they will put as much pressure on everyone else as they can," he told RIA Novosti.
According to him, the EU constantly imposes restrictions on the "Victory". The politician stressed that the sanctions imposed would not affect the work of the opposition bloc in any way.
"Our goal is to demolish the regime of President Maia Sandu, to remove the puppet party of power, the Action and Solidarity party. And we will achieve this," Shor added.
Earlier in the day, the EU imposed sanctions against the Moldovan opposition bloc Pobeda. According to the publication, in addition to three organizations, the restrictions affected seven individuals. Their assets will be frozen, and they will also be banned from entering and transiting through the territories of EU member states.
