Heavy heavy rains in New York have paralyzed the city's subway system. This was reported on July 15 by The Guardian newspaper.

"According to the New York City Transit Authority, <... Some of the subway lines were suspended, and other lines were operating with serious delays due to flooding," the article says.

It is noted that heavy rains hit the northeastern United States on Monday evening and affected a number of areas of the city, which led to the declaration of a state of emergency and difficulties in the operation of the subway.

Earlier, on July 5, CNN, citing local authorities, announced the deaths of up to 50 people due to severe flooding in central Texas. It is specified that among the victims there are also 15 children, whose deaths were confirmed by their families.
