In the Leningrad region, a five-year-old girl fell out of a second-floor window
In the Volkhovsky district of the Leningrad region, a five-year-old girl fell out of an apartment window on the second floor and ended up in intensive care. This was announced on July 15 by a source of Izvestia.
The incident occurred the night before. It is specified that the child's mother went to work on the night shift and left her daughter in the company of her 13-year-old son. The children were waiting for their godmother to come to them, and a five-year-old girl accompanied her mother, watching her from the window.
"She probably thought I was going by car. Usually the kids come up [to the window], she waves at me, I make sure she leaves, and that's it, I'm on my way. And this time I was late and went on foot," the woman said, suggesting that her daughter might have fallen out into the street trying to see her.
According to the mother, during the incident, the girl's older brother left the room. The victim was discovered by a passerby, who immediately took her to the hospital. After the fall, the child was conscious and answered questions from doctors.
Later, the girl was transported to a hospital in St. Petersburg with multiple injuries, and her condition is considered serious.
The day before, a six-year-old girl fell out of an apartment window on the ninth floor of a residential building on Orekhov Boulevard in Moscow. According to preliminary information, the child was left unattended by adults, climbed onto the windowsill and, leaning on a mosquito net, fell out of the window. The girl was hospitalized.
