- MAER Media Holding supports the Dostoevsky Days Festival in the Kaluga Region
The spiritual and educational project "Dostoevsky Days in Optina Desert" gathered more than 35 thousand participants in the Kaluga region. Lectures, concerts, and meetings with preachers awaited them. The stars of theater and cinema read their favorite excerpts from Dostoevsky's works from the stage. For the first time, the MAER media holding acted as a communication partner of the Dostoevsky Days.
The head of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, drew attention to the fact that 10 years ago the territory of the village of Gubino, where the main stage of the festival and the student camp were located, was actually abandoned, and today it is an ornament of the district and a place of attraction for people from different regions. Most recently, the Gubino village restoration project was ranked among the top 100 by the Strong Ideas for a New Age forum.
"Now there are 130 families living here. A shelter for girls has been established. And the camp here did not arise by chance. First, the village appeared, meaning appeared, and then what we see today appeared," said Governor Vladislav Shapsha.
Gubino also has a tent camp for students, located on the picturesque shore of the local reservoir.
"People from other countries come here, and these are young people. A youth festival is opening these days. For the first time this year, it has acquired international status. People from Great Britain, France, and European countries, whose politicians, I will not accidentally clarify this, are conducting bellicose rhetoric directed not only against Russia, against common sense, and aimed at destroying their own state. And their youth are looking for answers," said Anna Kuznetsova, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma.
She also added that by the end of the spring session, the State Duma will consider a bill on the protection of religious symbols.
The MAER media holding supported Dostoevsky Days as a communication partner. About 8 million people saw information about the project.
"The Dostoevsky Days is a landmark event both for the spiritual life of the country, for Russian Orthodoxy, and for the education of young people. The goal of the project is to face the new challenges of our time, promote spiritual and moral values, and contribute to the development of Russia. All this is close to us, so it was with great pleasure that we supported the project. There were 14,000 participants last year, and 35,000 this year. I am sure that this is our merit," said Konstantin Mayor, owner and CEO of the MAER media holding.
