- FT cited the reason for the non-transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine from the United States
US President Donald Trump is not handing over Tomahawk missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) due to concerns about Kiev's lack of restraint. This was reported on July 15 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.
"The Ukrainians have requested Tomahawk missiles, high—precision cruise missiles with a range of about 1,600 km. But the Trump administration, like the Biden administration, was concerned about Ukraine's lack of restraint," the publication says.
Earlier in the day, The Washington Post reported that the new supplies to the Armed Forces, which Trump spoke about on Monday, will include long-range ATACMS missiles. In addition, the US president may allow Ukraine to use 18 such missiles, which are already at the disposal of the state.
