Renault has developed a new car specifically for French President Emmanuel Macron. The crossover will receive reservations and a special premium interior finish using valuable materials, the company's press service shared details about the model on July 14.

The presidential crossover is based on a hybrid Renault Rafale with a 300-horsepower powerplant and all-wheel drive. The car was booked by Centigon France. Due to the increased weight of the car, changes were made to the chassis and suspension. The crossover is equipped with 20-inch wheels with Michelin tires and a fully controllable chassis.

Renault claims to have redesigned the rear of the cabin to turn the car into a mobile office. Additionally, the climate control system has been optimized, noise insulation has been improved and rear door closers have been installed.

It is stated that the project was the result of a unique close collaboration between the Elysee Palace, Renault and French craftsmen. For example, the interior features Pyrenean marble Noir Grand Antique, dark beech in handmade marquetry, expensive leather upholstery and alcantara-upholstered rear center console.

The body of the Renault Rafale is painted in a special shade of Bleu Présidence, which shimmers in the colors of the French tricolor in the sun. Flagpoles have been installed, and the exterior has been decorated with the colors of the national flag.

Earlier, on July 14, it was reported that the company Evolute plans to introduce in Russia a new model with a hybrid power plant. This car will be cheaper than the Evolute i-Space crossover.
