A teenager drowned while swimming in a river in the Irkutsk region

In the Irkutsk region, a 12-year-old boy drowned while swimming in a river. The child's body was found by rescuers.

The incident occurred in Taishet on July 14th. According to IrkutskMedia news agency, two schoolchildren went to a reservoir near the dam and did not warn their parents. A 12-year-old boy went under water at a depth of, surfaced several times, and then disappeared. The second boy reported the incident to the adults when he returned home.

The boy's body was discovered at night at a depth of about 2 m.

Rescuers note that the place where the tragedy occurred is not intended for swimming. Appropriate full houses have been set up on the shore. A criminal case has been opened into the incident.

On July 13, a 15-year-old boy drowned in the Bystrica Sosna River in the Lipetsk region. The teenager swam away from the shore, dived, but could not swim out.
