In summer, during frequent morning fogs, rains and thunderstorms, one should be extremely careful when driving: avoid sudden rash maneuvers and lane changes on slippery roads, observe the interval and distance between vehicles, and do not exceed the set speed, the department noted.
"It is necessary to drive a car in conditions of insufficient visibility with external lighting devices turned on, it is mandatory to use fog lights, if available, and during heavy fog or heavy precipitation, reduce speed as much as possible and move with the alarm lights on. In case of participation in an accident, the scene should be identified, if necessary, call the Traffic police, and if there are victims, an ambulance team," said Police Colonel Sergei Hrantskevich, head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of child traffic injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
