The Chinese Foreign Ministry noted the support of close contacts with the Russian Federation to counter challenges

The Chinese and Russian authorities maintain close contacts at all levels to jointly counter challenges in a difficult international environment. This was announced on July 15 by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian at a briefing.

It is specified that such a statement was made following a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

"China and Russia maintain close and unhindered contacts at all levels, which contributes to a joint response to the challenges of instability and change," TASS quoted Lin as saying.

According to him, cooperation between Beijing and Moscow is aimed at the timely implementation of agreements that were previously reached by the leaders of the two countries. In addition, Lin also stressed that China and Russia jointly contribute to the common development of the two countries.
