It is necessary to include career guidance and new opportunities for their self-realization in the rehabilitation of participants in a special military operation (SVO). This was announced on July 15 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission for the development of physical culture and sports among people with disabilities resulting from their own and other armed conflicts.

According to him, the priority task for the state is to support its participants. In the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, Russia focuses on effective adaptation and creating equal opportunities for all people with disabilities.

"It is important not only to restore their health, but also to help them find themselves and get a new profession. It is necessary to increase the number of such opportunities and scale successful practices," Chernyshenko quoted TASS as saying.

The Russian Deputy Prime Minister also instructed the commission to regularly check the progress of the execution of instructions given following the meeting of the Presidential Council for the Development of adaptive physical culture and sports.

Earlier, on July 8, Assistant to the President of Russia, Secretary of the State Council Alexei Dyumin stated the importance of informing the participants in the hostilities about the benefits. He also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin personally controls the issues of support for veterans of his military and their families.
